Fatal Crashes on I-691 in Waterbury and Meriden.
A Waterbury man, identified as 35-year-old Javier Rosado-Toro, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 691 in Meriden on Sunday night. The crash involved two pickup trucks, a Dodge Ram Big Horn and a Ford F-350. The driver of the Ram attempted to pass the other truck on the left but collided with it, causing the Ram to spin out of control and hit a cable barrier before rolling over and hitting a tree. Rosado-Toro was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene, while a woman in the Ram was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the F-350 was not hurt.
