Korean Baseball Star Hye-seong Kim Enters MLB Free Agency
Hyeseong Kim, a standout second baseman from the KBO's Kiwoom Heroes, has been posted for MLB teams to negotiate a contract. Kim, who had a stellar 2024 season with a .326 batting average, 11 home runs, and 30 steals, is the first player from South Korea and Japan to be posted this offseason. MLB teams have until January 3, 2025, to sign him, with the Heroes receiving a fee based on the contract's value. The Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants are among the interested teams.
