China Initiates Largest Tibet Mega-Dam Amid Regional Water Concerns
China has launched the world's largest hydroelectric dam project on the Tibetan Plateau, raising concerns in India and Bangladesh about water supply and environmental impacts, as the dam is built on the Yarlung Tsangpo River, which becomes the Brahmaputra downstream.
