
Man convicted of killing WMU student in crash.
Hunter Hudgins has been convicted of two counts, including operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol causing death and operating a motor vehicle less than the age of 21 while having any bodily alcohol content, in a drunk driving crash that killed Western Michigan University student Bailey Broderick in November 2021. Hudgins was acquitted of a charge of committing a moving traffic violation causing death. He is set to be sentenced on June 5, 2023.
