Panic bets on co-op whimsy with Big Walk and a lean publishing plan
Panic, the indie publisher behind Untitled Goose Game, is leaning into whimsical, unconventional projects rather than sequels. Its new Big Walk is a 12-player co-op adventure built around proximity voice chat and collaborative puzzle-solving, emphasizing togetherness over difficulty. The team aims to reach non-traditional gamers and broaden its publishing catalog, while acknowledging a small staff — three people on the dedicated games team — and a plan to scale back releases. Big Walk is slated for PC and PS5 later this year.
