Dakota Community Honors Legacy and Remembrance Through Horse-Ride Events
The Dakota Reconciliation and Healing Horse Ride and the Dakota Exiles Ride returned to Mankato, Minnesota, honoring the 38 Dakota men hanged in 1862, with participants traveling over 300 miles on horseback from Nebraska and South Dakota to commemorate their legacy and promote cultural remembrance and hope for future generations.
