Iowa National Guard Soldiers Killed in Syria Return Home
The remains of Iowa National Guard soldiers Staff Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard and Staff Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, killed in Syria, have returned to Iowa for funeral services, with their caskets honored in a solemn transfer and processions, marking the first Iowa Guard casualties since 2011.
