Draper Homes Evacuated as Cliff Collapse Sends Them into Canyon
Two homes in a Draper neighborhood in Utah, previously declared unsafe to live in due to structural issues, slid off a cliff and into a canyon overnight, leading to the evacuation of nearby homes. The homes had been fenced off since late 2022, and despite attempts to make them structurally sound, Draper inspectors deemed them "no longer safe." The homeowners had been compensated, and no one was injured in the incident. The trail below the homes is now closed due to dangerous conditions.
