An unopened cardboard box filled with 1979-1980 hockey cards, potentially containing two dozen Wayne Gretzky rookie cards, sold for $3.72 million at auction. The box, originally owned by a 1960s-70s collector, was discovered by his son in Saskatchewan. With 10,752 cards inside, it is a rare find, as no other unopened case of these cards has surfaced in the 21st century. The buyer's identity has not been disclosed.
