"Okada's Departure: Impact on NJPW's Future and Potential Move to WWE or AEW"

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is adding one last singles match between Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi before Okada's contract expires, with the match set to take place in Osaka's EDION Arena, where Okada previously upset Tanahashi to win the IWGP Heavyweight title in 2012. The match is part of the upcoming event "The New Beginning in Osaka" on Feb. 11, with Okada's farewell match at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall on Jan. 24. More details about Okada's final dates in Sapporo are yet to be announced.

"AEW and NJPW stars collide at Forbidden Door event"

Tetsuya Naito made a big mark at Collision on the last stop of the road to Forbidden Door, staring down Chris Jericho and making the six-man bout official for Forbidden Door. Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Swerve Strickland in first-time singles action, but was interrupted by a video package from AEW World Champion MJF, who insulted Tanahashi and declared that he would only agree to their title match if it was the first match of the night. NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale advanced in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, but was interrupted by AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm and her Outcasts faction.
