Toyota has unveiled its first fully electric version of the Hilux pickup truck, featuring a new design, advanced safety features, and a 150-mile range, with rollout starting in Europe next month, though it will not be available in the US.
A 1980 Toyota Hilux Pickup with a million miles on the odometer, despite off-road abuse and competing in rallies, has been filmed going off-roading. The truck has a beautiful patina with bits of rust and flaking paint, and the interior is stripped down to only the necessary items. The original 20R 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine has been replaced with a 22R 2.4-liter four-cylinder, and the owner wasn't afraid to abuse his Pickup. Toyota has a reputation for impressive durability, and the company recently launched the 2024 Tacoma as the latest in the long line going back to the Pickup in the United States.
