Multiple Officer-Involved Shootings Result in Suspect Fatality in Wisconsin.
A driver who dragged a Vernon County Sheriff's deputy was shot and killed in an officer involved shooting near Genoa, Wisconsin. The incident began with a welfare check and ended with the driver speeding away with the deputy hanging on to the side of the vehicle. The Wisconsin Department of Justice is leading the investigation, and the deputy involved has been placed on administrative leave. The incident closed Highway 35 for over six hours.
