Rangers Secure Shesterkin with Historic $92M Contract
The New York Rangers have agreed to an eight-year contract extension with goalie Igor Shesterkin, making him the highest-paid goalie in NHL history with an average annual value of $11.5 million. This surpasses Carey Price's previous record. Shesterkin, who won the Vezina Trophy in 2022, is currently in the final year of a four-year deal. The Rangers are also making roster changes, having traded captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks, as they aim to improve their playoff position.
