Former Tennessee Coach Jeremy Pruitt and Wife Casey Pruitt Find New Careers as Alabama High School Teachers
Jeremy Pruitt, the former Tennessee football coach who was fired due to an NCAA infractions case, has been hired as a physical education teacher and junior high boys basketball coach at Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama, his high school alma mater. His wife, Casey Pruitt, has also been hired as an English teacher at the same school. The couple's contracts are set to begin on August 1 pending background checks and appropriate certification. Pruitt was given a six-year show-cause penalty by the NCAA, but this does not affect his ability to coach at the high school level.
