"Second suspect charged in Crystal Rogers' murder had history of violence against women"

Joseph Lawson, the second man charged in the death of Crystal Rogers, has a history of violence and threats against women. Five women have accused Lawson of assault or threats since 2009, including two with whom he shares children. He has been convicted of misdemeanor assault and facilitation to strangulation in the past. Lawson has spent a little over seven months in prison and has cycled in and out of local jails. He is currently confined to a wheelchair due to a motorcycle accident in 2021.
