Spotify to Launch New High-Priced Subscription Tier.
Spotify is reportedly working on a higher-priced subscription plan called "Supremium" that will bring high-fidelity audio to users outside the US in 2023. The plan's price point will be set above its current options. Spotify has several premium offerings, including one for individuals with a $9.99 monthly fee and ones for students, duos, and families with other price tags. The company also plans to let non-US premium users consume more audiobooks and is launching an artificial intelligence DJ feature. Spotify's total number of monthly active users increased to 515 million in Q1 2022, with 210 million premium subscriptions experiencing 15% YoY growth.
