"Kenneth Rooks' Inspiring Triumph and Gospel Blessings at National Championship Race"
Kenneth Rooks, a junior steeplechaser from BYU, won the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase final at the U.S. Track and Field Championships after falling during the race. Rooks drew inspiration from Henry Marsh, a four-time Olympian, and ran in "Henry Marsh mode" to pass all 13 runners who had gone ahead of him. Marsh, impressed by Rooks' performance, believes he has a great future and sees similarities between them. Rooks will now train for the World Track and Field Championships in Budapest, Hungary, and aims to make the Olympic team.
