Ted Cruz attempted to associate Pat Benatar with child murder during a TV interview, but the singer and her husband responded with a simple "Nice try!" on social media. Cruz has previously stated that he stopped listening to rock music after 9/11 and now exclusively listens to country music. Benatar and her husband are set to begin a tour in July.
