Dallas and Cambridge Chosen as National Hubs for $2.5 Billion Federal Health Research Agency
Dallas has been selected as one of three national hubs for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), a new federal agency focused on advancing breakthroughs in science and medicine. ARPA-H aims to prevent and treat diseases like cancer, Alzheimer's, and diabetes. Dallas will serve as the customer experience hub, tasked with developing accessible and readily adopted health solutions, including diversifying clinical trials and reaching demographically representative patient populations. The selection of Dallas comes after advocacy from Texas representatives and senators. The agency's goal is to extend its reach beyond the hub cities and states to promote inclusivity and innovation in healthcare.
