Stonewall National Monument hit with multiple Pride flag vandalisms.
Dozens of LGBTQ+ Pride flags were vandalized and ripped down at the Stonewall National Monument for the third time during Pride Month. The New York Police Department’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incidents, and no arrests have been made. The Stonewall National Monument is the first U.S. national monument to LGBTQ+ history and was dedicated in 2016 to commemorate the Stonewall rebellion, which sparked the contemporary LGBTQ+ rights movement.
