Harvard Station Accident Victim Plans to Sue MBTA Over Falling Equipment
A woman who was struck by a piece of defunct equipment at Harvard Station is suing the MBTA. The equipment was originally part of a program to detect and identify biological agents. The woman suffered injuries, including a detached clavicle from her shoulder that will require ongoing and long-term medical treatment. The MBTA has directed personnel to remove the remaining 13 boxes at all three stations. The woman's attorney said they need to wait six months to file the lawsuit.
