New Handmaid’s Tale Sequel The Testaments Sets April Hulu Premiere

The first three episodes drop, followed by a weekly release. Produced by MGM Television and created for TV by Bruce Miller, the series expands the Handmaid’s Tale universe by following young girls in Gilead as they train to be wives.

TV Shows on Hold as Writers Strike: 'Handmaid's Tale' and 'Game of Thrones' Spinoff Affected.

The ongoing writers' strike in Hollywood has halted the writing of new seasons of popular TV series such as "The Handmaid's Tale" and "Game of Thrones" prequel. Late-night talk shows have gone dark, and some TV series and movies have followed. The strike began on May 2 after the Writers Guild of America (WGA) failed to reach a new labor agreement with higher pay from Hollywood studios such as Netflix and Walt Disney Co. No new talks have been scheduled between the Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), the group negotiating on behalf of studios.
