Apple's AirPods Line to Undergo Total Revamp, Including USB-C and ANC Features

The upcoming refresh of Apple's AirPods Max headphones, expected next year, will reportedly not include significant updates or the H2 chip found in the AirPods Pro. The main motivation for the refresh appears to be compliance with European Commission regulations mandating the use of USB-C for charging accessories. This means that AirPods Max will still lack advanced software features introduced in iOS 17, such as Adaptive Audio and Conversational Awareness. Other improvements, including changes to the charging case design and the addition of the U1 chip for Precision Finding, are also not expected.
