Canadiens Trade Jeff Petry to Red Wings for Lindstrom and Picks
The Montreal Canadiens have traded defenseman Jeff Petry to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for defenseman Gustav Lindström and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2025. The Canadiens will retain 50% of Petry's remaining salary. Lindström, a 24-year-old right-handed blue-liner, recorded eight points in 36 games with Detroit last season. Petry was acquired by Montreal from the Pittsburgh Penguins in August.
