Victims of Buffalo shooting file lawsuit against social media and gun distributors
Family members of the victims of a mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, have filed a lawsuit against social media companies, body armor manufacturers, and a gun shop. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump alleges that these companies were complicit in the shooting and helped the gunman "load that gun." The lawsuit seeks justice for the racially-motivated rampage that left 10 people dead and three others wounded. Companies named in the lawsuit include Vintage Firearms, Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, Google, and Amazon. Remington, the manufacturer of the AR-15-style rifle used in the shooting, is not named in the suit.
