"60 Guitar Legends Unite for Mark Knopfler's Charity Single"
Mark Knopfler has brought together over 60 artists, including Bruce Springsteen, David Gilmour, Slash, and Eric Clapton, to create a new version of his 1983 instrumental "Going Home: Theme of the Local Hero." The charity single, featuring the final recording by Jeff Beck, will benefit Teenage Cancer Trust and Teen Cancer America. The supergroup, billed as Mark Knopfler’s Guitar Heroes, recorded the song at West London’s British Grove Studios, with contributions from a wide array of guitar legends and other musicians.
