Pitt Panthers defeated Mississippi State Bulldogs 60-59 in a thrilling First Four game of the NCAA Tournament. Guillermo Diaz Graham blocked Tolu Smith's shot with 2.7 seconds left to secure the win for the Panthers. Pitt will now face Iowa State in the Midwest region. Diaz Graham played a season-high 37 minutes in place of injured starter Federiko Federiko and was emotionally spent after the game.
