Notre Dame's Offensive Guard Competition Heats Up During Spring Practice.
Notre Dame's offensive line is still a work-in-progress as the team enters the final third of its spring football activities. Both starting guard spots have been up for grabs all offseason, with Billy Schrauth and Andrew Kristofic emerging as the leading candidates at left guard and right guard, respectively. Offensive line coach Joe Rudolph sees the final five practices as significant tests for all the contenders. The team has been practicing with a lot of blitzing, which has created challenges for the offensive line to handle. The team is also incorporating large exercise balls in drill work to reduce collisions.
