Gunfire Erupts at Green Acres Mall, Prompting Lockdown and School District Lockouts
The Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, Long Island, was partially locked down after a suspect attempted to steal clothing from a store and got into a struggle with security, during which his gun went off. The suspect fled the scene in a red SUV and remains at large. No injuries were reported, but the second floor of the mall remained closed while authorities investigated the incident.
