"Long-Lost 'Gran Turismo 4' Cheat Codes Unearthed After Nearly 20 Years"
A modder has discovered previously unknown cheat codes in the 2005 racing sim Gran Turismo 4, which give players 10 million credits and allow them to earn gold on any license test or race event automatically with a button sequence. The codes only work after 365 in-game days have passed, and were discovered by reverse-engineering the game's custom scripting language. The cheats also work in Polyphony's motorcycle racer Tourist Trophy. It's unclear why the codes were included in the game, but they may have been used for internal testing.
