Grammy-winning reggaeton artist Karol G's private jet made an emergency landing in Van Nuys after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit. The plane, carrying 16 people, took off from Burbank airport but turned around over the Cajon Pass due to the midair problem. Karol G, who was in Los Angeles for unknown reasons, hugged friends and associates on the tarmac after the smooth landing. It's unclear if the emergency will impact her "Mañana Será Bonito" tour in Latin America.

Selena Gomez is set to portray 11-time Grammy Award-winning artist Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic, confirmed by Ronstadt herself on social media. The film, reportedly in pre-production, is being produced by Ronstadt's manager and James Keach. Ronstadt, who hasn't performed since 2009 due to a rare neurological disorder, became one of the most successful pop stars of her generation. Gomez, recently nominated for a Golden Globe, teased her role by posting a photo of Ronstadt's memoir on Instagram.
