Multiple Gas Balloon Crashes Leave Injuries and Damage in Crandall

A gas balloon participating in the Gordon Bennett Gas Balloon Race crashed near Crandall, Texas, after hitting a power station and exploding. The balloon, piloted by Krzysztof Zapart and Piotr Halas from Poland Team 1, crashed around 7:25 p.m., resulting in injuries to both pilots who were transported to a hospital in stable condition.
