Golden Fire Evacuations Downgraded to Level 2 | FireWatch

The Golden Fire in Oregon has grown to 2,137 acres with 15% containment. Oregon Wildfires: Evacuations, Task Forces, and Mistaken Notices

Level 3 (GO NOW!) evacuations have been issued for areas east of Highway 140, south of Polar Bear Lane, and north of Keno Springs Road in Klamath County, Oregon, due to the rapidly spreading Golden Fire. The fire, which has burned 2,000 acres with 0% containment, is threatening structures. Firefighters are working on structure protection and containment, and an Oregon Department of Forestry Incident Management Team will take over command of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the Oregon State Fire Marshal has mobilized additional resources to assist in firefighting efforts.
