Lundgaard and Nannini secure first career poles at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Christian Lundgaard won his first career pole in qualifying for the GMR Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, becoming the first Danish driver to win an INDYCAR SERIES pole. He edged Felix Rosenqvist by 27 ten-thousandths of a second, as Rosenqvist will start second after a best lap of 1:09.3348 in the No. 6 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet. Lundgaard led all three RLL drivers in the top eight, as Jack Harvey will start fourth and Graham Rahal eighth.

Indy 500 Open Test Cut Short Due to Rain and Driver Absence.

Day Two of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES Indy 500 Open Test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was canceled due to rain showers. Teams will return on May 12 for practice and qualifying ahead of the GMR Grand Prix on May 13. The next event for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES is the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix on April 30 at Barber Motorsports Park.
