
Arrest made in Giant food tampering case involving needles.
A former employee of a Giant grocery store in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania, has been charged with three counts of recklessly endangering another person and one count of criminal mischief after 11 needles were found in merchandise. No injuries were reported. The former employee, identified as a juvenile, allegedly inserted needles into at least three known food items. Customers who purchased items from the store between April 13 and April 19 are urged to check for any tampering.
