"Google Meet Introduces Hand Gesture Recognition for Seamless Communication"

Google Meet has introduced a new feature that utilizes gesture detection to recognize when users physically raise their hand during video conferences. This feature, which is currently available for enterprise accounts, provides a visual indicator to let others know that the user has something to say. The hand raise gesture can be enabled in the settings and is similar to the selfie timer feature on Google Camera. Google Meet will temporarily disable the gesture detection when the user is the active speaker and resume it afterward.

"Enhanced Video Calls: Google Meet Introduces Gesture Recognition Feature"

Google Meet has introduced a new feature that uses gesture detection to recognize when a user's hand is raised during a group video call and alerts the host. This eliminates the need to click the "hand raise" button on the screen. The feature is now rolling out to Google Workspace business and education users and can be enabled in the Google Meet settings. The camera must be on and the hand needs to be visible to the camera for the feature to work.
