Rise in Officer-Involved Shootings at Wisconsin Schools

Police officers in Germantown, Wisconsin, fatally shot a person who fired at them from the roof of Kennedy Middle School. The incident began when officers responded to a call of a person acting erratically in the school's parking lot. The person climbed onto the roof and opened fire, prompting three officers to return fire, resulting in the person's death. No students were injured during the exchange of gunfire, and the school went into lockdown. The incident is being investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, and the officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.
