In response to coming forward, they claim they’ve been retaliated against, silenced, and blacklisted. Carré Sutton, a former Calvin Klein campaign model, maintains that after speaking out against Gérald Marie’s alleged abuse she was kicked out of her Paris apartment and forced to live in squalor. Her castings were taken away. Sutton filed a lawsuit in New York in 2021 against Marie, alleging she was repeatedly sexually abused at 17 years old by the powerful fashion executive, and sexually trafficked to other men by Marie.
