Journey Co-Founder and Guitarist George Tickner Passes Away at 76
George Tickner, the co-founding guitarist of the band Journey, has passed away at the age of 76. Tickner played a significant role in the early success of Journey and co-wrote songs on several albums. Neal Schon, Journey's lead guitarist, expressed his condolences in a Facebook post. Tickner left the band in 1975 to pursue a career in medicine but continued to write songs and perform locally as a hobby. The cause of his death has not been revealed.
