World Athletics Implements Genetic Testing for Female Athlete Eligibility
World Athletics has approved new regulations requiring athletes competing in the female category to undergo a one-time SRY gene test to verify biological sex, effective from September 2025, as part of efforts to protect the integrity of women's sports and address gender diversity issues.
