Xbox Games Reach New Platform with Nvidia GeForce Now

Xbox has debuted four games on Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud gaming service, starting with Gears 5, with three more titles set to arrive before the end of May 2023. The service allows players to stream PC hits from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda purchased through Steam or Epic Games Store on PC, Mac, SHIELD TV, and Android devices. Xbox boss Phil Spencer called it a "milestone" announcement, and Microsoft plans to bring PC games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and eventually Activision Blizzard to a "variety of cloud gaming services."

Xbox games now available on GeForce Now streaming platform.

Gears 5, a Microsoft-owned title, is now available on NVIDIA's game streaming service, GeForce Now. This is part of Microsoft's efforts to convince regulators to approve its purchase of Activision Blizzard by signing 10-year deals with rival platforms. NVIDIA is offering discounted signups until May 21st, and higher-paying users can play Gears 5 in 1080p at 60fps or in 4K 120fps. Three more Microsoft-owned titles are expected to be added to the service on May 25th.

Xbox's Gears 5 now available on Nvidia's GeForce Now streaming service.

Nvidia has announced that Gears 5 will be the first Xbox Game Studios title to be playable on its cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, as part of a 10-year agreement with Microsoft. The game will be available to Priority tier subscribers at 1080p and 60FPS, while Ultimate members can stream it at 4K resolution at 120FPS or 240FPS for lower latency. The next three games from Xbox Game Studios, Deathloop, Grounded, and Pentiment, will also be added to the service on May 25, with more PC games from Xbox being added "regularly."
