Gary Winnick Lists L.A. Mansion for $250 Million
Telecom pioneer Gary Winnick and his wife Karen Winnick have listed their legendary Bel Air estate, Casa Encantada, for a record-seeking $250 million. The 8.4-acre property, which has no neighbors on either side, features a 40,000 square foot mansion with 40 professionally decorated rooms, formal gardens, meandering paths, an outdoor basketball court, a lighted tennis court, and several outbuildings. The estate twice previously set national sales records, first in 1980 and again in 2000. If sold for anywhere close to the asking price, it will far and away surpass the current California record and the current national record.
