
"Doraemon" Dominates China's Box Office, Tops Children's Day for 4th Year
Japanese film "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony" topped the China box office with $12.6 million in its opening weekend, surpassing "The Garfield Movie," which earned $8.2 million. Both films outperformed "The Last Frenzy," which had led for two weeks. The aggregate national box office for the weekend was $45.4 million, bringing the year-to-date total to $3.09 billion, slightly lower than the previous year.
