TrueAchievements has made changes to how TrueAchievement scores are stored in the database to improve site speed and scanner performance. The changes include storing achievement scores as whole numbers, implementing minimum Gamerscore requirements for some leaderboards, caching gamer blogs, and restricting access to certain panels for non-logged-in users to reduce server stress from bots and scrapers. These adjustments aim to address the slowdowns experienced during December and are part of ongoing performance work by the TGN dev team.
