TP-Link has fixed a critical remote command execution vulnerability in its popular Archer C5400X gaming router, identified as CVE-2024-5035. The flaw, which could allow unauthenticated attackers to execute commands on the device, was discovered by OneKey analysts. TP-Link released a security update on May 24, 2024, to address the issue by filtering out shell metacharacters in incoming messages. Users are advised to update their firmware to the latest version to mitigate the risk.
