Indie game publisher No More Robots revealed the impact of Xbox Game Pass on their latest release, Spirittea. The Game Pass deal allowed the developer to delay the game's launch for a year and add over a hundred hours of additional content. Over 100,000 players tried Spirittea through Xbox Game Pass in its first week, with Xbox and Nintendo Switch accounting for 80% of the game's revenue. Many players who tried the game on Game Pass went on to purchase it on other platforms. The financial success of Spirittea has given the developer the freedom to continue supporting the game with post-launch content.

Meta's Oculus Publishing Generates Over $10M in Revenue with Quality VR Titles.

Meta reports that 40 out of 500+ titles on the Quest Store have grossed over $10 million in revenue, with the number of titles at the $20-million mark doubling year over year. Top game genres include multiplayer competitive, physics combat, horror adventure, fitness and workout, social collaborative, and shooters. Meta Director of Content Ecosystem and Head of Third-party Games, Chris Pruett, notes a "giant correlation between quality and sales" and believes increased revenue potential on the platform will drive quality.
