Samsung has temporarily reduced the price of the Galaxy A14 5G in India. The phone, which already received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update, is now available at INR 13,499 ($163) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The device features a 6.6-inch display, Exynos 1330 processor, 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It is Samsung's cheapest 5G smartphone and is available in three colors.
Samsung has started rolling out the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy A14 5G in some Asian markets, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan. The update includes over 60 security fixes and doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements. Users can check for the update in their device's settings or download the firmware file manually. Samsung has promised to release two major Android OS updates to the entry-level smartphone.
Verizon has started rolling out the One UI 5.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, which brings new features, including the ability to change color tone while capturing selfies, quick adjustment of an app's window size in Pop-Up View, and more wallpaper choices. The update also includes the April 2023 security patch and can be downloaded over the air or via the SamMobile firmware archive. The Galaxy A14 5G was launched in the USA in mid-January running Android 13 and One UI 5.0, with a promise of two major Android OS upgrades.
