ULMB 2 delivers full refresh rate backlight strobing, nearly 2x higher brightness, and practically zero crosstalk. ULMB 2 is achieved through a technique called Vertical Dependent Overdrive, which controls the response time depending on where the vertical scan is, ensuring that pixels throughout the panel are at the right level at precisely the right time for the backlight to be flashed.

NVIDIA has launched its 2nd Gen ULMB G-SYNC technology, ULMB 2, which delivers an effective motion clarity of up to 1000 Hz, making a significant difference in competitive gaming and eSports titles. ULMB 2 provides full refresh rate backlight strobing, close to 2x the brightness, and zero crosstalk, all while maintaining pristine image quality. Two ULMB 2 capable monitors are already available, and another two are launching soon. To enable ULMB 2, users need to disable NVIDIA G-SYNC Variable Refresh Rate in the NVIDIA Control Panel and enable G-SYNC ULMB 2 in the monitor's on-screen display.
