Alaska Airlines has canceled all Boeing 737 Max 9 flights through Saturday following an incident where part of a plane's fuselage was blown out mid-flight. The airline will conduct maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with a Federal Aviation Administration order, with no aircraft being returned to service until a full inspection is completed. The canceled flights account for between 110-150 of the airline's flights per day, impacting around 1,200 total flights per day. United, another major operator of Max 9 planes, has also canceled flights and expects more cancellations.
