Israel and UAE implement free trade agreement.
Israel and the UAE have signed a free trade pact that will reduce or remove tariffs on about 96% of goods traded between the nations. The deal will also allow Israeli companies to access government tenders in the UAE. The agreement was first reached in May 2020, after the two countries normalized ties in a U.S.-brokered deal. Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said the pact would strengthen the connection with the UAE and that Israel was working to normalize ties with more Arab countries.
